The Optical Fiber E2000 Patch Cord is used to connect optical transmission paths through terminated fiber connectors. Patch cords have connectors on both ends, while pigtails are permanently terminated at one end only.
The product can be assembled with various connector types such as FC, SC, ST, LC, MU and MTRJ. Three polished fiber end-face options are listed: PC, UPC and APC. These options allow the patch cord to be selected according to the required insertion-loss and return-loss performance of the optical link.
The original product information emphasizes low insertion loss, high return loss, good repeatability, good exchangeability and high-temperature stability. These characteristics support repeated connection and stable signal transmission in common fiber communication and access-network applications.
