The Drop Cable Wire Stripper is a universal hand tool for FTTH indoor drop cables. It is intended to simplify preparation of common subscriber drop cable before fiber access, splicing or termination.
The original specification defines the working scope as 3.1 x 2.0 mm rubber-insulated wire, with 125um fiber diameter, 250um tight cladding diameter and 1-2 fiber cores. These dimensions are retained exactly in the technical table below.
With a listed weight of 0.17KG, the tool is designed around light weight, small volume and simple operation, making it practical for field technicians carrying out repeated FTTH installation and repair tasks.
