The FSM series fiber microscope utilizes a white LED for coaxial illumination. Light is introduced into the optical path so that it exits the objective and strikes the sample perpendicular to the fiber end-face. This optical arrangement is intended for close visual examination of connector polish quality.
The series is offered in FMS-200 and FMS-400 versions with 200X and 400X magnification. Fine-focus control allows the operator to bring the fiber end face into a clear view, while the momentary illumination switch limits LED operation to the inspection period.
A built-in safety filter and 2.5mm adaptor are included in the listed specification. The compact battery-powered format makes the microscope suitable for both workshop inspection and field maintenance where connector end-face condition needs to be checked before use.
