The TFI3306E Optical Fiber Identifier is a comprehensive test instrument developed for fiber-optic link construction and maintenance. It retains the conventional function of non-destructive fiber identification at any position on single-mode or multimode fiber, while integrating an optical power meter and red-light visual fault location function in one handheld unit.
The metal 4-in-1 test fixture supports 250um, 900um, 2mm and 3mm fiber or cable. During online testing, the instrument identifies signal direction and modulation frequency while keeping insertion loss low. The color display consolidates the test information for field technicians.
The standard OPM module provides common test wavelengths from 850nm to 1625nm, while the VFL module uses a 650±10nm source with output power of at least 10mW. Together, these functions support identification, power testing and visible fault tracing without requiring separate handheld instruments.
