SKYCOM T-FI350 is a handheld live optical fiber identifier designed for non-destructive fiber checking during network installation and maintenance. It identifies the direction of transmitted fiber, displays relative core power and recognizes CW, 270 Hz, 1 kHz and 2 kHz signals without disconnecting the link. Four replaceable adapter heads support Ø0.25, Ø0.9, Ø2.0 and Ø3.0 fiber or cable. One-key operation, audible indication, a sunshade, durable metal housing and low-battery indication make it suitable for practical field troubleshooting.

Overview

The SKYCOM T-FI350 Optical Fiber Identifier is designed to identify the direction of transmitted optical fiber and display relative core power without damaging the bent fiber. When traffic is present, the instrument activates an intermittent audible tone so technicians can recognize an active line during maintenance.

In addition to traffic direction, the T-FI350 recognizes modulation signals at 270Hz, 1kHz and 2kHz. When a modulation frequency is detected, a continuous audible tone is activated. This combination of direction indication, power display and frequency recognition allows one instrument to support several common live-fiber identification tasks.

Four replaceable adapter heads are supplied for Ø0.25, Ø0.9, Ø2.0 and Ø3.0 fiber or cable. The metal housing is designed for repeated field use, while the sunshade improves visibility during measurement. Power is supplied by a 9V alkaline battery.
