Field Network Maintenance & Data Center Deployment

The T3S-MAX is designed for fast and efficient on-site network maintenance and deployment. Its lightweight and portable design allows technicians to carry it between multiple customer sites or data centers throughout the day. Typical scenarios include:

● FTTH Installations: Splicing fiber directly at customer premises for internet and TV services. Ideal for multi-dwelling units where technicians need to navigate tight spaces.

● Data Center Fiber Deployment: Connecting high-density fiber racks in data centers, where speed and precision reduce downtime for clients.

● Network Troubleshooting & Repairs: Rapidly restoring service in commercial buildings or urban networks after fiber cuts or maintenance.

● Small to Medium Enterprise Networks: Deploying backbone fiber in office complexes or campus environments with minimal setup time.

● On-the-Go Operations: Technicians working from service vans or temporary field stations can perform splices without complex infrastructure.

Key benefits: Fast splice and heat cycles reduce service downtime; rotatable HD display enables operation in cramped server rooms; durable build withstands typical field handling.

Operation Scenarios & Instructions for Field Network Maintenance

1. Power On & Check

● Press and hold the power button to turn on the device; wait for system self-check (about 15 seconds).

● Inspect fiber holders, electrodes, and cleaver blade for dust or debris.

2. Fiber Preparation

● Strip the fiber jacket and coating to expose the bare fiber.

● Clean the fiber end face with lint-free paper or alcohol swabs.

● Cleave the fiber to standard length (approx. 10–12mm).

3. Splicing Operation

● Place the fibers into the splicing holders and align properly.

● Select Auto mode to start the splice (~8 seconds).

● After splicing, perform Tube Heating for protection (~20 seconds).

4. Inspection & Maintenance

● Check the splice loss displayed on the screen to ensure it meets standards.

● Clean the device and turn off the power after use.

● Regularly clean electrodes and lenses to extend device life.

Tips: The rotatable display is convenient for tight spaces; lightweight design is ideal for on-the-go field operations.

T3S-MAX – FAQ

Q1: How fast is the splicing process?

A1: The T3S-MAX completes a typical splice in approximately 8 seconds, with tube heating in 20 seconds. This ensures quick turnaround for field maintenance, FTTH installations, and data center deployment, allowing technicians to maintain high efficiency across multiple sites in a single workday.

Q2: Can it be used in tight or confined spaces?

A2: Yes, the T3S-MAX features a rotatable 5-inch HD display and compact design, making it easy to operate inside server cabinets, narrow conduits, or crowded urban installation sites without compromising visibility or splicing accuracy.

Q3: What is the typical splice loss?

A3: Under normal conditions, the T3S-MAX achieves low splice loss, typically less than 0.03dB for single-mode fibers. This provides reliable optical performance for everyday network maintenance and short-distance deployments.
